KCOS – Colorado Springs Airport v0.1
City of Colorado Springs Municipal Airport (IATA: COS, ICAO: KCOS, FAA LID: COS), known as Colorado Springs Airport, is a city-owned public civil-military airport 6 miles (9.7 km) southeast of downtown Colorado Springs, in El Paso County, Colorado, United States. It is the second busiest commercial service airport in the state after Denver International Airport. Peterson Air Force Base, which is located on the north side of runway 13/31, is a tenant of the airport.
Since this is my hometown airport that could use some better representation in the game, and I wanted to give back to the community, I decided to give it the attention it deserves.
Current Fixes:
Fixed Gate Parking at terminal so gates could actually be used
Added Lighting to both Commercial and Military Terminals
Removed Commercial Parking from Military side of the airport
Fixed Taxiway Designators to be accurate to FAA airport diagram
Added Parking and Lighting to FedEx Cargo Area
Fixed errant Taxiway lighting best I could, will continue improving upon it as I enhance my skills
To Do:
Fix Terraforming on taxiways, less bumpy
Fix more lighting on taxiways
Improve Main Terminal Area
Improve GA and Cargo Areas on West Side of Airport
Do custom building modeling
Add static military cargo planes
