WWII Holtz Bay Airstrip – Attu, Alaska v1.1
Attu Airfield (Japanese) is located in the northern area of Attu Island in the Aleutian Island Chain (Aleutian Islands) in Alaska in the United States. The runway spanned down to the sea at the East Arm of Holtz Bay.
Spotted by American aircraft from the air, this runway was bombed on several occasions. American forces did not continue any construction at this site, abandoning it in favor of Attu Airfield (Alexai Point Airfield).
Named Holtz Bay Airfield for simplicity.
