Stanley in search for Dr Livingstone v1.1
In 1866 Livingstone went to Africa in search of the sources of the Nile which had been claimed already by other explorers but were disputed. Livingstone completely lost contact with the outside world for six years and was ill for most of the last four years of his life. Only one of his 44 letter dispatches made it to Zanzibar.
Henry Morton Stanley had been sent to find him by the New York Herald newspaper in 1869. Stanley travelled to Zanzibar in March 1871.
This is the trip Stanley made to find Dr . Livingstone. Finally after many months he succeeded in Ujiji. Livingstone did not want to come back with Stanley so the trip ends there.
