The airfield is located in the east of Hodenhagen. The next larger airports are Bremen, Hanover and Hamburg.
The main runway is 900 meters long and 40 meters wide. To the east there is another unmarked runway for gliding. This is 1200 meters long and 50 meters wide.
The airfield is suitable for night flights and has the appropriate permit. The airfield has been operated by the Hodenhagen Aero Club since 1965.
