YMGB – Milingimbi Airport v1.0
Milingimbi Airport is a public airport on Milingimbi Island off the coast of Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory; it sits about 450km east of Darwin, and 470km NW of Borroloola. Originally constructed for the RAAF during World War II, it was bombed several times by the Japanese and there are still destroyed planes on display along the access road. The airport is now operated by Milingimbi Community Inc., and received improvements in 2006 and 2018, when the runway and apron were repaved. Milingimbi is served by regular Airnorth and MAF flights to Darwin, Maningrida, and Gove; as well as private charters, and medical and governmental flights.
This sceneryw as a request/suggestion, and the general goal was to tidy up the deafult scenery and update the airfield to its post-2018 appearance. I didn’t include runway lights because in real life they’re put out manually with prior notice, and really only meant for emergency situations. The airport is usually limited to operation during daylight hours, but if there’s interested I can upload a version with runway lighting as well. This scenery uses all stock assets, you don’t need to download anything else for it to work.

Corrected runway material and added and custom runway markings
Fixed windsock location and pad
Added gables and cones around runway
Fixed apron and painted lines
Added parking locations on the apron
Added the fuel area on the south side of the apron (non-functional)
Removed blurry autogen roads near the airport
Removed airport service vehicles
Removed trees from the ends of the runway and from some of the roads
Misc. scenery and vegetation fixes/additions
Known Issues:
No perimeter fence until Asobo adds a fence tool
Minor ground texture issues
