California Cruising – Weed to San Diego Bush Trip v1.0
This is a Bush Trip exploring the more popular sights of California from the air in a Beech Bonanza. Taking off at Weed Airport you head South to Mt, Shasta and Shasta Lake then this trip takes you West to the coast near Ft. Bragg before coming back inland to see Napa Valley and the wine country. This is folllwoed by the “Bay Tour” and you continue down the coast though Half Moon Bay, Santa Cruz, Monterey Bay, Morrow Bay, Santa Barbera, Catilina, Hungtington Beach and finally San Diego.
Just unzip the file and drag the file “IFRWeed-SanDiegoIntl-Mission” into your MSFS2020 community folder. It will then show under Bush Trips. Note I have saved this (ifr) so it will be automatially loaded into your flight plan so you can use the auto pilot and look aorund more, it is what I do when I fly these routes in real life.
I have tested this with the new update and it seems to work just fine. However there is a rumor that continueing on with the next leg may cause a crash to desktop (solution, go back to main screen/activities then selcet the bush trips again). Note: This has not happened with me so far. NOTE: This trip uses the default Bonanza, if you have unistalled it, it will not work.
I hope you enjoy and will do more of the West Coast of the United States and feel free to offer suggestions.
I have also built KEDU University Airport, in Davis, California and home of the Cal-Aggie Flyers. it has a short (3000′) and narrow (50′) runway which makes it a great training field. Many pilots trained there (Cal-Aggie) have become ATP and Commercial Instrument rated pilots. This airport will be available soon.
