Junkers Ju-52/3m D-AQUI (1936) livery v1.1
Until a few years ago German air carrier Lufthansa used to operate an old Ju 52/3m built in 1936. This plane was delivered with floats to Lufthansa in April 1936 and registered as D-AQUI. It passed through several hands, was refitted with a landing gear and was reaquired by Lufthansa who used her to transport passengers for over 30 years before retiring her.
This livery recreates the historic livery of 1936. There are few photos available so I took some creative license with the fuselage. The plane carried the name “Fritz Simon” in 1936 and later “Kurt Wintgens” between 1940 and 1945. I decided not to include those two names.
The livery in this package is available for the 1939, the Skis and the Floats models.
