Paramaribo is the Capital of Suriname situated at the banks of the Atlantic Ocean, a country once colonised by the Dutch, now a sovereign state with 55 airports,
mainly placed in the interior of the contrys wast jungle and rain forrest.

SMJP is the largest of Paramaribos two airports. It is situated south of Paramaribo, in the town of Zandery. The other airport is Zorg en Hoop, handeling the traffic of smaller propeller aircrafts.
Main carriers like American Airlines, KLM, Copa and others have routes to SMJP, and the 3480 meter RWY permits the largest Aircrafts to operate here.
