VFA-106 “Gladiators” is the US Navy’s East Coast Super Hornet RAG/FRS.

Based out of Oceana NAS in Virginia, the squadron trains everyone from CAT I aviators (newly minted fighter pilots) to retraining other aviators either returning from disassociated (non-flying) tours like DC Pentagon tour or War College; etc or switching over from other platforms (very low rate).

VFA-106 also provides the East Coast Demo Team for the F/A-18E/F Rhino.
