Single Engine Pratt & Whitney R-985 Wasp Junior Radial Engine
SkyHigh Audio Simulations is proud to present our brand new series of P&W R-985 Wasp Jr. sound packages for FSX! These sounds are for vintage, small, single-engineed aircraft applications of the Wasp Junior engine (Twin engine coming soon). Perhaps the most well-known application is the DeHavilland DHC-2 Beaver, of which a lot of the audio in this pack is recorded from. Some other aircraft this sound could be used on, besides the DHC-2 Beaver, are the Beechcraft D-17S Staggerwing, Spartan 7W Executive, Gee Bee Model Z, and the Stinson SR-10 Reliant. This download features two versions: Single-Engine 2-bladed propeller, and Single-Engine 3-bladed propeller. FSX’s sound cone technology has been extensively used to provide as much of a realistic sound experience as possible in the exterior view. SkyHigh Audio Simulations’ usual touches have been added such as using audio recordings only from Wasp Junior engineed aircraft as source files to provide a fully authentic sound experience for the simmer.
