Potchefstroom Airport is a medium sized airport in South Africa, serving the region of Potchefstroom. The longest runway is 4.885 feet or 1.489 meters long. Added missing hangars on the general aviation side of the airport. Ex SAAF training airport for 42 Squadron, whose main role was to spot enemy artillery using C185, AM.3CM Bosbok, Atlas C.4M Kudu and Pilatus PC-6. The airfield has also been used extensively for training as well skydiving. Now home to Jonker Sailplanes Pty Ltd. (JS) a privately owned, South African company that designs, manufactures, and maintains sailplanes from their main facility based at the Potchefstroom Airfield.
