The Tuskegee Airmen
This is the full 106-mission campaign about the black pilots of the 99th Fighter Squadron, 332nd Fighter Group, known as the Tuskegee Airmen. This set of missions start in North Africa in 1943 beginning with their arrival at Casablanca, Morocco, and ending after just over two full years of combat with the Tuskegee Airmen flying over the remains of the Third Reich and Festung Europa. The missions are as close to historically accurate as I could make them. The majority of the background information was taken from the outstanding book: “Black Knights, The Story of the Tuskegee Airmen” by Lynn M. Homan and Thomas Reilly. I have had to omit some of the actual missions conducted by the Tuskegee Airmen just for brevity sake. I have also taken some creative liberty where limitations of CFS2 would not allow for total accuracy of mission building. For this, I apologize to the original Tuskegee Airmen and the authors of the book.
