Edinburgh Scenery V2 v1.0
Edinburgh Scenery V2 v1.0

V2 of my Edinburgh scenery pack is released!

Included scenery

  • Edinburgh Castle
  • Forth Bridge, Forth Road Bridge & Queensferry Crossing (yes you can fly under them πŸ˜‰ )
  • Murrayfield Stadium
  • Scott Monument
  • Craigmillar Castle
  • Palace of Holyroodhouse
  • The Balmoral
  • Waverley Mall
  • Ocean Terminal
  • Donaldson’s Hospital Building
  • Dalry Chimney

Known issues

  • Flying cars under the bridges (can’t find any way to fix this yet)
  • Shiny castles (this is due to the deafult MSFS material which looks too plastic-y for old stone buildings, once I am able to change this I’ll update ASAP)

Hi. This scenery looks great. Thanks for uploading it, i live in Edinburgh myself. I’m having trouble getting it to appear in game though. I’ve unzipped the download and put the internal file in my FS ‘community’ folder but nothing shows up when I fly over Edinburgh.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Like Toby, the scenery doesn’t appear… I don’t know why πŸ™ I really hope we’ll find a solution to fly over the most beautiful city in the world

  3. Martin Schwanke says:

Hi Same as that. Thank you Joey, I think the same a most beautiful place.

  4. Herve says:

    Hi. Having the same issue…

  5. Taffybob says:

Hi, also having the same problem. It looks great in the screenshots but I can’t load it. I’ve tried 3 times, both manually and using ModManfx64.

  6. paul says:

Doesn’t load.Have tried various solutions but to no avail. Great shame. Should be removed from download page until fixed.

  7. Taffybob says:

I agree with Paul, it should be removed until the installation issues are resolved. I keep coming back and retrying downloads in the hope that it will work.
I would also like to know how the 3 people who gave this a 5 star rating managed to load it !!!!!

  8. Bart says:

Same here. The scenery is not working.

  9. Taffybob says:

I get the feeling that no-one with responsibility – author or moderator – actually reads these comments. If this is the case then they might as well remove the comments section and save space on the website.
I have still had no response from the 3 people who, allegedly, gave 5 star reviews to the software. On further examination of the website, it appears that these reviewers are apocryphal, and that a 3×5 star reviews are allocated to every piece of software when it is uploaded.
Will someone please prove me wrong?

  10. Kebro says:

Same issue here. @Taffybob I think you’re right/ Still I hope they’ll fix it soon.

  11. Taffybob says:

Thank you, Bart. It seems like this is the same add-on as above, but it works from the source you Identified. At last we have a recognisable Edinburgh – I’ll stick with this until Orbx release their UK North for MSFS 2020.

    • Nick Weir says:

Hi Taffybob. Did you manage to get the Edinburgh scenery add-on to work. Have tried manually and using the installer, but no joy.

  12. Alan says:

Ah, I’ve just tried to install this and have come to the comments having found it doesn’t work. Did anyone get it working in the end?
