06C – Schaumburg Regional Airport v1.0
This is a complete redraw of 06C – Schaumburg Regional Airport using all SDK assets. The default version misses the main FBO building, which in real life also has a restaurant that is favorited by many aviation enthusiasts in the Chicagoland area. Other enhancements include more accurate taxiways, runway, taxiway lighting, and surrounding areas including a custom drawn parking lot. This little airport sits just west of Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Keep that in mind when operating in and out of here! Given this airport’s shorter runway and residential setting, 06C likely doesn’t see anything larger than a King Air 350. Jet traffic would be non-existent. There are no approaches or ATC here either so keep yours eyes open and head up!
In order to increase the realism at this smaller airport, it may be best to reduce the “Airport Vehicle Density” and “Worker Density” to 0-5 (found in General Options > Traffic > Airport Life). Sadly, the SDK is still lacking a way to control services at airports. Including an “Airport Services” file still alters all airport services and is not local to just this modification. To avoid issues, I have not included this.
Knon issues in V1.0
Start points are far up the runway, the runway start points I set in the SDK are not being recognized, hopefully this gets fixed in an update to the SDK
There are missing taxiway signs (if anyone knows what additional signs are needed from an actual flight to this airport, please message me with the details)
