Batnuni, BC – XCBA1 v1.0
Batnuni Lake may appear to be in the middle of nowhere but it just means more isolation when you fly in here with your friends for a bit of a camping trip. The strip is long at over 3000 feet but has a distinct curve to it, making it a tad more exciting. Feel free to set up camp under the wing of your plane after you land, or stay in one of the local cabins. Don’t worry – logging ops in the clearcut behind are temporarily shut down so you’ll have nothing but silence.
Oh and yes I realize this isn’t the specific location of the former runway but both are overgrown and this widened area appeared far more interesting to me.
