(BCKA) Mount Kelsall Airstrip (B.C.) v1.0
A mountain peak south and east of the Canada-Alaskan border, and to the north there is the British Columbia-Yukon border.
A little airstrip to land your STOL planes on, this airfield has a nice little skating rink, with a forest, and some fuel, perfect for a little stopover. There is also an area to park your aircraft and cars, plus a small long windy road going down the mountain over to Highway 3.
The airfield isn’t exactly perfect for many aircraft, I don’t think it’s possible to even takeoff a 172 here, but if you have an XCub variant or another STOL plane, it’s definitely suitable.
Therefore this is a perfect little STOL stopover when traversing across to Edmonton or Yukon or Alaska or the Northwest Territories, or even back to B.C.
Although why not just stop at a community where there’s a bigger airport?
