Camp Robinson Maneuver Training Area v1.3.0
Within the R-2403A restricted airspace north of Camp Robinson (KRBM) and west of Little Rock AFB (KLRF), sits a quiet airfield owned by the U.S. Army and used by both the Army and the Air Force for training operations, particularly airdrops.
Previously, this airfield was not actually paved in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020; it was just painted, hilly grass. I took about three hours to flatten it out and painstakingly flesh out all of the detail I possibly could. This airfield is as close to the real thing as you can get, right down to the slab of concrete and the random lines on the east end.
There are no buildings. There are no other aircraft here. There are no lights. This is by design, and realistic to the real-world. Aircraft do not stay here long, and when night operations are conducted, night vision is in use.
In the real world, this airfield does not have an ICAO identifier and is not shown on any civilian chart. However, in the simulator, I’ve given it the identifier, KRB1.
