EGTU – Dunkeswell Aerodrome – Upgrade v1.0
This is an upgrade of EGTU Dunkeswell in sunny Devon.
I spent many a youthful afternoon here watching a pal race his wee kart. He hit the track pissed out of his head much of the time so didn’t do all that well. He seemed to enjoy it all the same and it’s the taking part – even when inebriated to a deadly extent – that counts.
I presume many real world fliers on here will be very familiar with this spot. If I ever take up proper flying I guess it’ll be from here, but I may leave the flying to the pros.
I did spend a couple of afternoons lurking with my camera and easel but if you spot anything particularly inaccurate let me know.
There are a few annoyances. There may be terrain glitches which I missed, for some reason many sites fall apart in development mode and become incredibly lumpy. I also really need to figure out how to stop vehicles lurking in parking spaces once and for all.
You surely know the score by now – Many a ground texture removed, replaced or added, lots of buildings erased, replaced or remade. Detail added to approaches and surrounds. New taxi system with plenty of hangars to start in. Space 100 will be for your helicopterising.
There’s a fuel bay and fuel truck.
I need to pop back to refine a few details that I missed, but overall it’s a more wholesome place to fly around from than it was before.
