KCZL Tom B. David v1.1
This is my first scenery project. Tom B. David (KCZL) located in Calhoun, Ga. The generated hangars are way to large for this airport so I took it upon myself to try and see if by using the SDK I could replace some buildings and recreate those missing. There are no custom buildings, all are built in and used to better represent what is actually there. I’m just learning to use the SDK so this is by no means a professional job, don’t look to closely at alignments. Some buildings I couldn’t find anything built in to represent them, such as the 17 small white single hangars near the terminal building which was also missing and bashed together just to have something there. Several hangars were added to represent the Life Flight heliport hangars and office located where the fuel is now. I don’t know how to relocate it or the beacon, both of which need moved, if I can figure out how I’ll update. I hope at least someone will like it compared to the generated scenery. Comments welcome.
Thanks and enjoy!
You’ll notice the large empty lot just to the west of runway 35, that’s a mat company and my plans are to update some of the scenery in Calhoun. This will be seperate project to downloaded and will be added later.
UPDATE: I went ahead and added the mat company. It was really annyoing to see that huge empty lot so close to 35. Also new is night lighting, added some street lights and security lights to most all the hangars and the new mat company. Added a lit sign by highway 41, it uses a street light and is a bit bright, also a few stop signs at the intersection. All builtin. Im still not sure about the modellib.bgl files but will fix it once I figure out how. In the meantime it seems to be working ok for me anyway, hope no one has had any issues with it as is. Please delete the old file when updating any new versions. Thanks again!
Open the zip file and drag the “tbd” folder into your “Community” folder. No files are altered or overwritten so you simply just delete the “tbd” folder if you wish to go back to the original generated scenery.
