KOFP – Hanover County Municipal Airport v1.0
Hanover County Municipal Airport is a public airport located 14 miles north of the central business district of Richmond, Virginia, United States.
Hanover County Municipal Airport has an area of approximately 200 acres which contains one asphalt paved runway (16/34) measuring 5,402 x 100 ft (1,647 x 30 m). For the 12-month period ending May 31, 2007, the airport had 31,655 aircraft operations, an average of 87 per day. There are 117 aircraft based at this airport, 102 single engine, 13 multi-engine, 1 jet aircraft and 1 helicopter. There is a full-service fixed-base operator (FBO) called Heart of Virginia Aviation. The county is building a new hangar, renovating the terminal and is updating fencing. There are an industrial park and a commerce center next to the airport.
I have tried to recreate this airport as close as possible to the actual airport using only objects from the ASOBO libraries. Unfortunately I found nothing that I could use for the terminal so it is just an ASOBO stock building. Night lighting added. Automobiles removed from parking lot and replaced by rows of parked automobiles. Additional automobiles were added at various locations around the airport. Fencing was added around a portion of the airport. The PAPI lights were corrected at RWY 16. Many of the stock airport buildings were removed and replaced by appropriate structures.
