PLCH – Cassidy International Airport v1.0
PLCH – Cassidy International Airport, Christmas Island
Cassidy Airports historie started with WW2 and the USAF need for a Refueling Station and stopover enroute from Hawaii and the States to Canton Island and further out to New Zealand and Australia.
The WW2 airport was much larger than the airport of today, and the remains can still be seen, but only RWY 08/26 and the taxiway to the main apron is maintained and operational today.
In 2019 a New Terminal was inaugurated, and the large 2193 x 30 meters rwy makes it possible for large jets to use the airport, connecting the island with Fiji and Hawaii.
Cassidy Airport is maybee the smallest of all International airports, but uptill recent it has only int. flights, no domestic.
This scenery of PLCH is created with MSFS SDK and Stock objects only. Just unzip and drop the plch folder into your MSFS Community folder, and off you go.
Hope You’ll Enjoy flying to Cassidy International)
Take care / JP
