RAF Rufforth – UK11 – Yorkshire – Tag21 v1.0
RAF Rufforth {UK11} is a former Royal Air Force station located near Rufforth in North Yorkshire, England. It was used by one operational Halifax squadron on long-range bombing missions to Italy during the Second World War, with most flying dedicated to conversion units under the auspices of nearby RAF Marston Moor. Post-war, the RAF used the site to house maintenance units, gliding schools and observation flights. It was completely disposed of by the MoD in 1981, and now is used for civilian light aircraft and glider flying.
I did my first solo flight here in 1973, so have fond memories of the unit. The scenery is created here as a “What if” scenario, speculating what the unit might look like if it had remained as an RAF unit.
To see all the objects you will need all the Asobo airfields, plus the Library files I identify in the screenshots.
To install the scenery, unzip the “Export.Zip” file and place the scenery folder into your Community folder.
