[A32NX] British Midland Airways (Retro Livery) v1.0
A reminder of past days, British Midland Airways originally had its HQ in Donington, close to East Midlands Airport. It eventually was called BMI (British Midland International). The Airline flew to destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North America and Central Asia from its operational base at Heathrow. BMI was acquired from Lufthansa by IAG (International Airways Group, British Airways) in April 2012. In October 2012 BMI’s subsidiaries, Bmibaby and BMI Regional were also purchased, however not by British Airways. Unfortunately, in 2012 Bmibaby closed down in late 2012, and in 2019 Flybmi went into administration. British Midland Airways originally started back in 1964 and operated out of East Midlands Airport. When I was young I remembered seeing one of their 707’s, G-BFLE at Heathrow. This is my tribute to a once-great British Airline.
