Conviasa (legally Consorcio Venezolano de Industrias Aeronáuticas y Servicios Aéreos, S.A., “Venezuelan Consortium of Aeronautics Industries and Air Services”) is a Venezuelan airline with its headquarters on the grounds of Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, Venezuela, near Caracas. It is the flag carrier and largest airline of Venezuela, operating services to domestic destinations and to destinations in the Caribbean and South America.

The CRJ 700 was a plane operated by Conviasa for a short time. Little is known about the fate of these planes, it is clear that they were disarmed at the Fort Lauderdale Airport, the reason for this action is unknown, some indicate that it was due to an embargo, another for not being able to pay the maintenance fees, these plans are in a state of abandonment at that site.
