De Havilland DH-89 Dragon Rapide VH-UBN Airlines of Australia Ltd. v1.0
This folder contains a repaint for the de Havilland DH-89 Dragon Rapide by Dave Garwood, in the colors of DH-89A Dragon Rapide c/n 6253 VH-UBN, in the colors of Airlines of Australia Ltd., 1938. It was used for aerial services along the east coast of Australia, up to Cairns. With the outbreak of WW2, it was impressed into the RAAF as A33-5, but from 1942 it was issud to Guinea Airlines for flights in South Australia. On 20 July 1944, while climbing through clouds, it hit Mount Kitchener and crashed, with the loss of all 7 people on board. The freeware model and paintkit used for this repaint were supplied by Dave Garwood.
