EC-121R Batcat 67-21498 | 1970 v1.0
Repaint of payware Red Wing L-1049G Super Constellation.
This repaint shows USAF Lockheed EC-121R Super Constellation with s/n 67-21498 of 553rd Reconnaissance Wing. During the Vietnam War, some EC-121s were modified for use with ground sensors to detect enemy troop movements along the Ho Chi Minh Trail, and 25 were deployed to Korat RTAFB, Thailand, as part of Operation Igloo White. Batcat EC-121s were camouflaged and operated between October 1967 and December 1970, with about 20 Batcats on hand at any time. The 553rd RW was deactivated 15 December 1970. As part of the change ceremony 67-21498 got its shark mouth for a flyover.
Please note
This repaint is for Red Wing L-1049 updade V2.2 and later! It is based on Red Wings Batcat textures.
