MB-339PAN Swiss Air Force U-1251 v1.0
From 1988 to 2002, the Swiss Air Force used a total number of 20 BAe Hawk Mk.66 as advanced jet trainers. In my opinion the Aermacchi MB-339 does look very close to the Hawk so I decided to create a fictional livery for the MB-339PAN to look like a Swiss Air Force Hawk.
U-1251 was handed over to the Swiss Air Force in 1989 at Dunsfold UK. The first Hawk Mk.66 was built in Great Britan and had been painted in white with striking red trim on the wings, nose and tail. Later the scheme was changed and painted red on the belly up half the way of the fuselage. The upper side remained white. Unfortunately, not many pictures of the short lived livery exist. This scheme re-appears on the T-45 Goshawk that was developed for the US Navy. Concerning maintenance markings and walk ways, very few were applied.
