PMDG DC-6A B-17 “Black Jack” v1.0
Here is another fictional B-17 repaint for the DC-6… at least until we get a B-17.
This one is of Black Jack / The Joker’s Wild, 41-24521. She was one of the first B-17s to roll off the production line at Boeing. At the time, the price of the new Bomber was roughly $314,000. The plane was assigned to Captain Kenneth McCullar, together with his crew of nine, and served with distinction over the next few months. It was McCullar, who was an avid gambler, that gave Black Jack it’s moniker. Which came from the last two digits of the plane’s serial number… A jack and an ace is a “blackjack hand” of 21 in the card game of Pontoon.
