CFVA Base fire helicopters R.A.S, Villasalto
The base of Villasalto activated in the second half of the 80s covers the south eastern part of Sardinia. The pitch and the hangar are located just outside the village of the town of Gerrei.
I tried to reconstruct this small but important helicopter base designed to welcome the gigantic Sikorsky helicopter S-62 Crane
I created a fictitious Icao CFVS identifier for popter to easily find the small base of Gerrei, a small region in the south-east of Sardinia. The territory of Gerrei corresponds to the medium course of the flumendosa and its right-wing tributaries and is characterized by a series of highlands and hills.
The municipalities of the territory are: Armungia, Ballao, San Basilio, Sant’Andrea Frius, Escalaplano, Goni, San Nicolò Gerrei, Silius, Villasalto.
