Hurricane Mesa, Washington County, Utah (UT27) v1.0
Hurricane Mesa is a Utah landform near Hurricane, Utah, used for Cold War tests of rocket ejection seats for supersonic aircraft at the Hurricane Supersonic Research Site. The mesa is above the Virgin River valley with an almost shear drop from the Hurricane Mesa airstrip into the valley below. In the 50’s a world land speed record of 1800mph was achieved at this research site and is unlikely to be bettered by anything we will be flying out of the mesa
It is a good test for those pilots that like to roll off the edge of cliffs and parking spots #10,11 and 12 have been placed for you to practise your lemming impressions.
The more conventional airstrip has also been reopened for the more conservative pilots and is long enough for most general aircraft with parking spots #1, 2, 3 and 4 allocated for your use.
The library contained in this scenery pack (pkb-cliffs v2) is shared by the Caveman Ranch scenery and you can use this updated v2 version for both airstrips. If you have a copy of the library from the Caveman Ranch scenery pack it is ok to delete it and use the library contained in this scenery for both locations.
