Miracle on the Hudson River v1.1
On January 15, 2009, US Airways Flight 1549, an Airbus A320 on a flight from LaGuardia to Charlotte, struck a flock of birds shortly after take-off, losing all engine power. Unable to reach any airport for an emergency landing, pilots Chesley Sullenberger and Jeffrey Skiles glided the plane to a ditching in the Hudson River off Midtown Manhattan. All 155 people on board were rescued by nearby boats and this flight went down in history as Miracle on the Hudson River.
This is a recreation of this famous story with custom TTS sound.
Put mohr-1 in community > find it in bush trips.
Added A32NX partial compatibility. Read description and readme file!!!! Only default livery, did not find any compatible for A32NX.
You have to download this livery: https://www.allflightmods.com/microsoft-flight-simulator-2020/us-airways-livery-a320-v1-1/
Please read this description carefully !!!
– You have to enable developer mode !!!!!!! Options > General > Developers > Developer mode > Dev Mode > Autohide > Check > Options > Disable Crashes
(There is a way to disable crash damage in files, but they’re also a lot of issues that may occur in futures updates so I choose this workaround.)
– There is no end of the leg, after landing just exit the bush trip.
– Turn off the auto throttle before take off.
– Try to climb at least 3000 before POI 2.
– Start APU after bird strike.
– Try to fly along the route on your left display, otherwise all custom sound will not work.
– You have to keep aircraft 191 seconds in the air after a bird strike to hear all custom sounds.
Known issue: Custom audio files may not be in the correct order, they are timed correctly, but things like stuttering, pausing may break it.
There is some compromise due to custom sound and gameplay so things like birds strike place, COG, fuel load, etc may not be like in real.
A32NX: You have to restart (1X or 2X) the mission after it is loaded to be able see all screens properly.
Please be mature and do not post or record any pictures and videos with the plane crashing into the buildings !!!
Many thanks to cptdev, that help me with this scenario, and check his landing challenge on this toppic.
