Spruce Creek Fly-In (7FL6) Sunrise Approach v1.0
Hi everyone! This challenge is for the airport 7FL6, a small private fly-in community in Port Orange, FL. You will be landing a Citation CJ4 on runway 24, starting from 3000′ over the shoreline of Daytona Beach.
Recommended Scenery:
I highly recommend and used JustSeanC’s addon for the 7FL6 airpot (free) on this platform! He did an awesome job. This scenery will signifignatly enhance the realism and visual quality of the airport and surrounding area. You can download it here: https://www.allflightmods.com/microsoft-flight-simulator-2020/msfs2020-airports/7fl6-spruce-creek-v0-0-2/
Note: I am not affiliated with the other developing party in any way.
Mission:
You will begin at 3000′ over the Daytona Beach shoreline. You are already aligned with the runway and need to be on the approach profile for optimum performance. The runway is fairly wide but has trees and buildings surrounding it on all sides. The aircraft is a Citation CJ4, and you’re landing on RWY 24.
Installation Instructions:
Installation is simple. Please move spruce-creek-approach into your Community folder for MSFS. You can find it in game under Activities > Landing Challenges > Epic > Spruce Creek Private Airport Approach.
Known Bugs/Issues:
– The only item that I’m aware of is that the landing zone target point may be too far down the runway. In testing, I have gotten very good scores landing on the point where it is and did not have trouble stopping in time. However, you may choose to land at the beginning of the runway as intended if you wish.
Additional Notes:
I will do my best to maintain a leaderboard for each of my landing challenges! All you have to do is upload a screenshot from your flight and the score screen in the comments and I will place you according by your score.
Any feedback or comments would be appreciated. Don’t forget to leave a rating, or request help if not satisfied!
