Iceland Overhaul v1.5
This addon currently contains around 1000 landscape fixes, 175 unique structures around Reykjavik and other areas of Iceland, and brings tree coverage to within a few percent of real life. The tree coverage fixes were based on a map that shows tree coverage of the country. The structures cover iconic and VFR landmarks such as Hallgrimskirkja, Harpa, and the DC3 crash site along with many other buildings within Reykjavik and the rest of Iceland to bring it to life. More fixes and structures will be added with every update!
All model attributions are available in the download file.
Current list of structures includes the following and more: Reykjavík Cathedral, Harpa concert hall, Brautarholtskirkja, and the dc3 crash site, Hallgrímskirkja, Fríkirkjan í Reykjavík, Landakotskirkja, The National Hospital, Reykjavik junior college, The House Cabinet, Reykjavík Art Museum Hafnarhús, Radisson Blu 1919 Hotel, Radisson Blu Saga Hotel, Hljómskálinn, the theater at Vonarstræti 3, and the old school at Laekjargata 14, City Hall, harbor lighthouses, Perlan, Police HQ, pond bridge,Höfðatorg, Kjarvalsstadir Art Museum, the National Center for Cultural Heritage,Hofdi, the National Museum of Iceland, Gamla Bio, the National Library, the Volcano Museum in Stykkishólmur, and the Hellissandur longwave radio mast.

This update adds 47 buildings, mainly around Laugavegur Street, working lighting to the harbor lighthouses, a night texture for Hallgrimskirkja, and fixes the volcanoes on Vestmannaeyjar (proper height mapping for the rest of the island is planned for the future).

This update adds 86 buildings to fill out the Centre and Hlemmur neighborhoods of Reykjavik, and Árbær Open Air Museum. It also adds 4 guyed radio masts with working night lighting to their real world locations in Iceland. One being the tallest structure in Western Europe at 412 meters; the Hellissandur longwave radio mast. The new addon file name is “baddweapon-scenery-icelandoverhaul-v1-4”

This update adds 24 structures and fixed an issue with the top of Hallgrímskirkja.The buildings include: City Hall, harbor lighthouses, Perlan, Police HQ, pond bridge,Höfðatorg, Kjarvalsstadir Art Museum, the National Center for Cultural Heritage,Hofdi, the National Museum of Iceland, Gamla Bio, the National Library, and the Volcano Museum in Stykkishólmur. Previous update information moved to a comment in the thread to de-clutter the main post. The next update will take a bit longer than usual but will contain much more content! This update adds 12 buildings based on recommendations from the community, adds some life to the harbor, and fixes a few more landscape issues. Started adding buildings and points of interest. First 4 locations added are: Reykjavík Cathedral, Harpa concert hall, Brautarholtskirkja, and the dc3 crash site. Further buildings will be added based on community feedback and recommendations. Continued fixing of landscapes and waterways. Changed the name of the project to better represent it’s goal going into the future. Download from the same link; the new addon name is “baddweapon-scenery-icelandoverhaul-v1”. Another pass done based on community feedback for the following areas: Seydisfjordur and surrounding areas and Jokulsarlon and surrounding areas. Landscape issues such as steep hills where they shouldn’t be and excessive rolling hills have been cleaned up in most high traffic areas.

Did a much more detailed pass over problem areas brought up by the community. Namely the West Fjords and Reykjavik. Total number of fixed areas is close to a 1000 now.

Brought tree coverage even closer to reality and fixed more problem areas. Along with some areas that were pointed out by the community. Re-download from the same link and just replace the previous version of it in your community folder!
