Kirche Maria Laach v1.0
Church Maria Laach
The six-tower monastery church, the Laacher Münster, is considered one of the most beautiful monuments of Romanesque architecture from the Salian period in Germany. The magnificent atrium (in the church building for the forecourt) of the vaulted pillar basilica, referred to here as “paradise”, is the last one north of the Alps to be preserved.[2][3] The cloister from the beginning of the 13th century was restored in 1859. 1926 Pope Pius XI. the church the honorary title of “Basilica minor”.
