Macombs Dam Bridge, Manhattan, New York v1.0
Macombs Dam Bridge is the next in my series of handcrafted bridges across the Harlem River which connects the HudsonRiver and the East River along the NE side of Manhattan. It is a swing bridge opened in 1895 and is similar in design to the University Heights bridge, both having been given their aesthetic appearance by Alfred Pancoast Boller (yes, that Alfred Pancoast Boller).
Yankee Stadium is 0.4 miles from the eastern end of the bridge and I have marked it with a POI.
