The Forth Bridges with North and South Queensferry – Scotland v1.0
This is a companion piece to my Edinburgh city scnery. It features, the Queensferry Crossing, The Forth Road Bridge and the world famous Forth Rail Bridge. It also features the two beautiful small coastal towns of North and South Queensferry which sit at either side of the Forth estury.
All three bridges feature full night lighting features including flood lights all over the Forth Rail Bridge, just like real life. Interstingly the Queensferry Crossing, the most recent bridge to span the estury, which opened in 2017, was still under construction when Google grabbed their phototelemetary data of it.
This was quite a difficult bit of scnery to make. Asobo releasing the new US update during the week and a new version of the SDK seemed to muck things up for me and my almost complete previous version refused to load so I had to start over again from scratch.
There is a known issue with traffic from the old default bridges still appearing under the new ones. There doesn’t seem to be an easy way to solve this sadly. They’re only noticeable if you get relatively close up though.
