Douglas DC9-FSX Converted for 2024 v1.0.8
Originally designed by Erick Cantu for flightsimulator X , changed, created, merged and converted by me.
this beautiful aircraft I worked with mcx and various blender versions, is useable in msfs2024 and should work in 2020, but I created the ktx texture files also the dds files to use it in both sims.
What you will get and where are issues:
- the dds textures looks better than the ktx textures but both have issues to show in the sim I dont find out why.
- animations works but also some issues on the center gear and engines
- material issues in few parts of aircraft
- Texturing and shading , animation is a difficult work and needs a lot of time to find out the small things to make it better
- effects (lights, smoke etc) not optimized for this aircraft, im working on it.
- doors should work but not optimized.
- You need a install of FlyByWire A 320 in your community folder, why?
- the most difficult and complicated part is the cockpit animation and texturing. Im work on it, but for this time you have to use this
- cockpit for a while
- But yes, the DC9 is flying form A to B from Basel to Frankfurt 🙂 this was my first flight, when i was young.
- What is to do next on the exterior model:
- animations for thrust reverser
- better wing flex
- lights
- flightmodel fuselage
- engine materials
- convert to msfs 2024 materials
- using ktx2 textures
